MGMT are one of the biggest new artist stories of the last few years and their new album "Congratulations" is one of the most eagerly anticipated new releases of 2010.

The band’s debut album "Oracular Spectacular" was released in 2008 and went on to sell 1.6 milllion copies worldwide, including 1.1 million outside of their native US.

Initially embraced by the cool, trend-setting hipsters, who recognised the band’s unique style and musical vision, they went on to achieve a level of mainstream success with the “Time To Pretend” and “Kids” singles turning into worldwide anthems.

The new album was produced by MGMT and Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3, E.A.R., Spectrum) and recorded throughout 2009 in upstate New York, Malibu and Brooklyn. It features Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, MGMT’s core duo, performing with Matt Asti (bass), Will Berman (drums) and James Richardson (guitar), the band’s live line-up.

With "Congratulations" the band show that they continue to evolve musically and are not afraid to take risks. This really is a body of work and an album in the traditional sense of the word and one that gets better with each play.

NEW IRON MAN 2 TRAILER RELEASED

The new 'Iron Man 2' trailer premiered in the U.S. last night during a post-Oscars episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live", and there's a lot to like about the latest peek at Jon Favreau's much-anticipated sequel.

The second official trailer was introduced by Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr., and now you can watch it in the player below. Remember, the music featured in the new film (and trailer!), is from AC/DC!!

COMEDY SUPERSTAR�S FIRST TELEVISED STAND-UP EVENT IN SEVEN YEARS RELEASED ON DVD

Comedian Robin Williams’ critically-acclaimed sold-out comedy tour, “Weapons of Self Destruction”, comes to DVD, CD/DVD and vinyl for release in Ireland in the coming months.

Taped over two nights at Washington, DC’s DAR Constitution Hall, “Weapons of Self Destruction” premiered on the US channel HBO in December and became the network’s most successful stand-up comedy special of the year. Over the course of the tour, Williams performed 90 shows in 65 cities in front of 300,000 fans across the US, as well as in London and Canada.

SEAN KINGSTON AND JUSTIN BIEBER COLLOBORATE

Sure, Sean Kingston let Justin Bieber get behind the wheel of his Ferrari last month, but there's more to the pair's friendship than joyrides.

The singers have teamed up for the new song "Eenie Meenie" which was premiered on Kingston's MySpace page, which is streaming the track. You can listen for yourself HERE.

After meeting last year at a radio show, Bieber, 16, and Kingston, 20, became close friends. "I'm kind of like his big brother", says Kingston, who spent last weekend celebrating his pal's birthday in L.A.

The pair share a love of sneakers, cars, X-Box games - and, of course, making music.

"Eenie Meenie", in fact, is just the beginning of their collaborations. "We're starting a writing team together", Kingston reveals.

The tune is expected to be included on Kingston's upcoming album.

JIMI HENDRIX PLAYS GLASTONBURY???

The world’s greatest guitarist never got to play at one of the world’s greatest festivals…until now.

Julian Temple has taken footage of Jimi and morphed him onto the pyramid stage at Glastonbury playing "Bleeding Heart" and it looks incredible. Check out the video in the player below.

BEYONCÉ'S “I AM…” WORLD TOUR CLOSES ON A HIGH NOTE WITH SENSATIONAL TWO-WEEK RUN IN SOUTH AMERICA AND A FIRST SOLO CONCERT IN THE CARIBBEAN (ON THE ISLAND OF TRINIDAD)

Superstar and cultural icon Beyoncé, ended her 2009 / 2010 “I AM…” World Tour with a sensational live concert in the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad on 18th February. The “I AM…” World Tour launched in Edmondton, Canada on 29th March 2009 and spanned across Europe including stops in Dublin's O2 venue, Austria, Spain and the UK.

Beyoncé’s first of four sold-out shows at London’s 20,000-seater O2 Arena, Europe’s largest in-door concert venue, inspired the Telegraph.co.uk to headline its review: “Beyoncé Knowles raised the bar for what can be done in an arena show at the O2”.

During the North American leg of the “I AM...” World Tour, Beyoncé co-sponsored food drives as part of a "Show Your Helping Hand" initiative, a national hunger relief campaign created by General Mills’ Hamburger Helper in partnership with Beyoncé and her Survivor Foundation. The campaign goal was to help Feeding America deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks.

Upon the completion of several tour dates in Australia, Beyoncé was honoured with the coveted Billboard Woman of The Year Award at a ceremony held in New York City on 2nd October, 2009. The “I AM…” World Tour continued with shows in Japan and additional dates in The United Kingdom, and two sold-out shows in Ireland at Dublin’s O2 Arena, before concluding in South America and the Caribbean. The “I AM…” World Tour which critics have called “spectacular” and “dazzling” was also named the world’s number one concert attraction by Billboard Magazine’s Hot Tour rankings.

LADY GAGA GIVES MARK RONSON SINGING ADVICE

From BBC.co.uk/news: Mark Ronson has revealed he has taken singing lessons from Lady GaGa's voice coach for his new album.

The producer is singing for the first time on "Record Collection", set for release in July under the name Mark Ronson and the Business.

"It was very weird to be on the other side of the glass," he said. "It gave me a lot more respect for all the singers I've ever worked with."

The Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears and Miike Snow also feature on the album. Ronson said Lady GaGa suggested he take singing lessons from Don Lawrence while the two were recording in 2007.

"We were working in the studio and I started singing and she said 'take some lessons'. I started going last July and then I just went every week. Alex Greenwald, who sang "Just" on my last album, recorded all my vocals. He's the one person I could trust and not feel like an idiot."

"Record Collection" is the follow up to 2007's "Version", which featured guest vocalists including Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen. It earned Ronson the Brit Award for Best Male the following year. Ronson also co-produced Winehouse's critically acclaimed album "Back to Black".

"I think it's the best thing I've ever done," Ronson said of his new work. "Back to Black was a seminal album and it's something I'm very proud of, but I think you grow with every record."

However, Ronson admitted that although the band are set to play at this year's Lovebox festival in London, they are unlikely to feature at Glastonbury 2010.

"We've had some great Glastonbury experiences, but I'm not sure we're ready for this year. It might be a next year thing, if we're so lucky."
